Man Arrested In Burglary Of Gas Station In North Haven: Police

Police have made a second arrest in connection with an overnight burglary of a gas station in North Haven.

NORTH HAVEN, CT — A second person has been arrested in connection with an overnight burglary of a gas station in North Haven in March, according to police.

Police said the gas station was burglarized on March 21, and detectives located the vehicle that was used in the burglary a short time later. One of the suspects was still in the vehicle and arrested at the site, according to police.

A second suspect was identified and police obtained an arrest warrant.

Luis Ortiz, 45, of New Haven, was arrested Monday and charged with third-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, fourth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fourth-degree larceny, second-degree criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit second-degree criminal mischief.

Ortiz was held in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
