Motorcyclist Killed In Griswold Crash; Police Seek Witnesses
An investigation into the two-vehicle accident is ongoing, according to state police.
GRISWOLD, CT — A motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon on Route 201, according to state police.
State police identified the victim as Delbert Lee Moore, 70, of Griswold.
The accident happened around 4:14 p.m. According to police, Moore was operating a 2026 Indian Scout Bobber motorcycle southbound on Route 201.

A 2025 Honda CR-V Sport operated by a 66-year-old Griswold woman was northbound on Route 201 when it crossed into the southbound travel lane and collided with the motorcycle, according to state police.
Moore was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich via ambulance.
The State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Squad responded to the scene and is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
