New CT Lottery Games Already Have $6 Million In Sales

A series of new CT Lottery games has had a stellar beginning.

CONNECTICUT — The CT Lottery’s new Fast Play "Jumbo Bucks" Progressive Jackpot games, which launched July 20, have generated more than $6 million in sales in their first 30 days of sales, lottery officials said Friday.

Fast Play had more than 525,000 winning tickets representing more than $4.2 million in prizes, and in the first 30 days, players won 11 progressive jackpots across all three Fast Play games ($1, $2 and $5).

From Fast Play alone, the CT Lottery is returning $1.3 million to the Connecticut General Fund, officials said.

"The Fast Play Progressive Jackpot games had a very successful first month of sales, and have been a solid revenue driver for the state," said Greg Smith, president and CEO of the Connecticut Lottery Corporation. "We anticipate continued steady growth as we roll out additional games and look forward to seeing many more winners claiming their prizes.”

Overall, the CT Lottery has generated nearly $251 million in total sales since the beginning of the 2021 fiscal year (July 1 to Sept. 2). That's up nearly 16 percent over the same period last year.

In FY2020, the Connecticut Lottery Corporation had sales of $1.3 billion and returned $348 million to the Connecticut General Fund, officials said.
