New Job For Former Connecticut Television News Anchor
Amanda Raus has been a fixture at several Connecticut news stations.
CONNECTICUT — Amanda Raus, a former news anchor at WTNH-TV, recently left the New Haven-based station for a new communications job with Yale New Haven Health, she announced on LinkedIn.
Raus' new job is at Bridgeport Hospital, and it's a post she is looking forward to starting.
"After spending nearly two decades in news and trying my hand at public relations consulting, I’ve started a job with Yale New Haven Health," she wrote. "I’m thrilled to be the new Media Relations Coordinator for Bridgeport Hospital. I can’t wait to meet the staff and share the stories of the amazing work done at the hospital."

Raus was at WTNH for about two months, and she and her husband, Fox News Channel's Todd Piro, welcomed their second child in 2020.
Prior to WTNH, Raus was at Fox61 for six years, where, among other roles, she was part of the 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. newscasts.

A Monroe native, Raus graduated from Masuk High School, and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, and an MBA from Hamden-based Quinnipiac University.
Throughout her career, Raus has also logged time at WVIT-TV, News 12 Connecticut, and at WSHM in Springfield, Massachusetts.
