Pairings Announced For Connecticut High School Football Playoffs

The CIAC has increased the number of divisions this year from four to six, so 48 teams still have an opportunity to capture a state title.

CONNECTICUT — With the CIAC expanding its football divisions this year from four to six, 48 teams are still eligible to compete in state playoffs which begin Tuesday.

First-round games will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the higher seeded team hosting. Semifinals will be contested on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 12:30 p.m. at the higher-seeded team's facility, and championship games are slated for Saturday, Dec. 10, three each at Arute Field at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain and Rentschler Field in East Hartford.
