Picture Connecticut: The Main Drag In The Middle Of The Map

MIDDLETOWN, CT — The latest Picture Connecticut tour stop lands us right smack in the center of the state.

Main Street in Middletown was bustling Wednesday evening, despite a nasty drizzle.

It's been called one of the widest in the nation, along with busy, historic, picturesque and even romantic.

However classified, the seven walkable blocks of Main Street in Middletown host nearly 200 independent businesses and a plethora of restaurants representing a wide array of cuisines.

Some of the businesses have bee family run for generations and some just opened this weekend

Several festivals and parades take place each year.
