Popular CT Wedding Venue To Return With New Owners, New Name

The well-known wedding venue closed during the coronavirus pandemic but the property was recently purchased and will reopen in the spring.

WOLCOTT, CT — A long-time wedding venue, which has sat dormant since the early days of the coronavirus pandemic, is about to get new life — this time with new owners and a new name.

The Hartford Business Journal first reported that the former Mahan’s Lakeview Fine Catering's property has been sold for $1.25 million to the Chabot Hospitality Group, which runs several other reception facilities across the state.

The new owners told the Hartford Business Journal that the facility was already in great shape and just minor cosmetic work was needed. The wedding venue will be called High Point Gardens, and it will officially open in April. People can soon start making reservations.
