Road Rage Incident Leads To Gunfire In CT Town, Police Say

A caller reported that another driver fired a shot that struck his passenger side window and windshield.

THOMASTON, CT — Police are investigating after a victim reported that gunfire struck his car during a road rage incident Tuesday.

Police received a call at 3:30 p.m. regarding the incident on Waterbury Road in Thomaston.

The caller reported that a driver fired a shot from the driver's side window at his vehicle, striking the passenger's side window and windshield.

This happened while both vehicles were driving south on Waterbury Road.

The victim was not injured.

Thomaston police received assistance from Waterbury police, Plymouth police, a K-9 unit from Connecticut State Police, and a K-9 Unit from Naugatuck police.

The investigation is ongoing.
