Good Friday morning, Connecticut,

The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for the state, saying, "The combination of relative humidity values dropping to 25 to 30 percent and frequent wind gusts between 20 and 25 mph will contribute to an elevated risk of fire spread today."

The weather service adds that we need to be "very careful when handling and disposing of ignition sources outdoors, such as cigarettes or matches."

As for the forecast, we can expect sunshine and temperatures into the mid 60 Fridays. Warm and sunny weather continues through Monday, and then it's back into the 50s next week with rain forecast for Tuesday.
