Good Tuesday morning Connecticut,
The sun returns and we warm up into the low 40s Tuesday and remain there for the rest of the week. There is a slight chance of rain and snow showers on Thursday, and it will be 50 degrees and sunshine on Saturday.
On Monday, Gov. Ned Lamont made news when he issued an update to the school mask policy and proposed gun law changes, along with hiring of hundreds of new police officers.

Gov. Ned Lamont proposed major changes to Connecticut's law on open carry of firearms, and he proposed hiring 500 new police officers across the state.>>>Read More.
Teen overdoses at high school
Police in Bloomfield are investigating after a teen at the high school overdosed on Thursday morning, according to WTNH News 8. The teen is suspected to have overdosed on marijuana laced with fentanyl, News 8 reports. The teen was taken to a local hospital.
NBC CT reports that school staff members and police used Narcan on the student. (Read More at WTNH News 8 and NBC CT).
Ice cream recall involves CT-based company: FDA
The U.S. Food & Drug Administration said Royal Ice Cream Company, Inc. of Manchester is recalling specific lots of batch ice cream brand vanilla, ginger, and mocha chip ice cream, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. There have been no illnesses reported to date, the FDA reported.
The affected ice cream was distributed to Big Y Stores in Connecticut and Massachusetts and Roche Brothers Markets in Mass. Products are coded with the Date of Manufacture as 1/19/22 and Best By: 7/19/23, found on the bottom of the cup. UPC Vanilla – 837654968505 Ginger- 83765496856- Mocha chip 83765496853, the FDA said.
"The recall was initiated by Royal Ice Cream after FDA sampling revealed the presence of Listeria monocytogenes on processing equipment," the FDA wrote on its website. "The company is holding future product and testing before releasing distribution of the products as FDA and the company continue their investigation as to what caused the problem."
Consumers who have purchased batch ice cream brand 16oz vanilla, ginger, or mocha chip pints with the effected dates are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 860.649.5358, Monday-Friday 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
