Television Meteorologist Returns At Another CT Station

Lorin Richardson left WFSB Channel 3 in March.

CONNECTICUT — Lorin Richardson, a veteran meteorologist most recently at WFSB-TV, recently landed a new gig, she announced on Facebook.

"I’m back!" Richardson wrote. "I’m so excited to announce I have joined WTNH News 8 as a freelance meteorologist."

Richardson grew up in Trumbull, and even interned at Channel 8 in 2008.

"It feels like a full circle moment!" she said. "I am very grateful for this opportunity. I’ll be on weekend mornings & occasional other times filling in — see you on [TV] soon!"

Before her tenure at WFSB, Richardson was with FiOS1News, and has been working in the industry for more than 15 years, including stints in West Virginia and North Carolina.

When Richardson left WFSB in March, she said she was going to spend more time with her young son before his little sister arrived in the summer.

Now at WTNH, she is being welcomed by old friend, veteran News 8 anchor Laura Hutchinson.

"Lorin Richardson & I go back to my Massachusetts days!" Hutchinson wrote on Facebook. "We’ve never actually worked at the same station.. until now! Beautiful, kind, talented & our newest WTNH meteorologist!"
