These Are The Top 10 Places To Live In CT, Real Estate Experts Say

Litchfield, Wilton, and Southbury are among those that made a list of the "10 Best Places to Live in Connecticut, According to Real Estate Experts." The rankings come from Travel + Leisure.

"Connecticut is known for its educational opportunities, beautiful landscapes, employment growth, and proximity to major metropolitan areas," the magazine noted.

The state's residents "know the pros usually outweigh the cons—including harsh winters and high property taxes," according to Travel + Leisure, showing that the article was probably written before the current winter.

New Canaan lands on the list as "one of the strongest and most resilient housing markets in Connecticut," with a "quintessential New England charm with a true storybook feel."

Milford makes the list as "a vibrant shoreline town, offering direct train access to NYC at a more affordable price point” than Fairfield County.

Westport is described as "one of the most dynamic and cosmopolitan towns in the state" with top-ranked schools, exceptional dining and cultural offerings, along with access to the coastline.

West Hartford "is perfect for both young buyers as well as retirees" with a bustling downtown, making it the No. 1 real estate market in the nation.

The list is "in no particular order," and included the best suburbs, towns, and cities in the Constitution State.
