CT Weather Forecast: Stormy Start, Finish To Work Week

The National Weather Service says the week begins stormy and there are some big weather changes on the way for Halloween.

Connecticut saw a one day reprieve Sunday from rainy and stormy weather but the storm clouds roll in late tonight and rain and thunderstorms are expected just before daybreak and into Monday morning. It's not the best start to a work week.

Once the rain ends Monday afternoon, Tuesday and Wednesday look great with sun and seasonal temps. But by the end of the work week, we will see more clouds and a chance for showers on Thursday and Friday. More showers are possible on Saturday but next Sunday looks great.

The one big change this week is that the temps will be much warmer than last week. Temps are forecast to be in the 60s or near 60 from Wednesday through next weekend.

The National Weather Service says, "As another low pressure system approaches the area from the west, clouds will increase and rain will overspread the region from west to east tonight. This rain will continue through the overnight hours before tapering off Monday morning as the low moves off to the northeast. A few rumbles of thunder aren`t out of the question as the low crosses the area tonight, primarily across ... southern Connecticut.

Skies will gradually clear on Monday as the low moves off to the east with daytime highs rising to near seasonable levels. High pressure then builds into the region Monday night, keeping the area dry on Tuesday with temperatures a few degrees cooler, generally in the mid 50s."
