Dave & Buster's Grand Opening Milford Date Released

MILFORD, CT — The Connecticut Post Mall on Wednesday released the grand opening date for the widely anticipated new Dave & Buster’s at 1201 Boston Post Road.

The grand opened is scheduled for Nov. 5. In a social media post, mall officials say, "Are you a MyMall member? You're automatically entered to win a $250 gift card to Dave & Buster's! Dave & Buster's is slated to open its second Connecticut location in Milford, and is looking to hire more than 200 individuals to join its team. Positions are available in both front and back-of-house capacities, including servers, bartenders, hosts, line cooks, game techs and more. The new Dave & Buster's location will feature more than 25,000 square feet of entertainment including chef-crafted food, innovative drinks, hundreds of the latest arcade games and the state-of-the-art D&B Sports Bar filled with dozens of HDTVs.

Adding Dave & Buster's type stores to the mall is a growing trend. Over the past year J.C. Penney closed and Sears will be closing.

Conneciticut Post Mall General Manager Ken Sterba told the Connecticut Post that because the Milford mall is the largest in the state there is a lot of space that constantly needs to be filled. He added that because the number of national retailers is dwindling that it is important to seek out different types of businesses that will attract customers.

“Dave & Buster’s is a national brand, and they are unique in their own right,” Sterba told the Connecticut Post. “There is really no concern for us.”
