Town-By-Town Snow, Rain, Power Outage Totals For Nor'easter Storm In CT

A powerful nor'easter storm hit Connecticut this week and some towns saw over a foot of snow, while some received 4 inches of rain.

CONNECTICUT — Over 1,000 homes and businesses are still without power one day after a Nor'Easter plowed through Connecticut. The number of residents dropped steadily on the overnight, from a high over 13,400 late Tuesday afternoon.

Eversource is reporting 1,091 customers still in the dark at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while 52 United Illuminating customers are without power.

It's definitely not feeling like spring this week and that has continued on Wednesday as temperatures are around 40 degrees and wind gusts are 25-30 mph, which makes it feel much colder.

It will feel a bit warmer on Thursday, as high temperatures will approach the upper 40s and the wind should decrease significantly. On Friday, we'll hit the 50 degree mark, but rain showers are forecast and that continues on Friday night. The good news is Saturday will be sunny and a high temperature of 50 degrees, but then it's back to cold temperatures on Sunday with a high of only 39 degrees.

Our best upcoming weather day appears to be Tuesday, with temperatures in the low to mid 50s and sunshine.

All that sunshine will go a long way towards melting the snow that dropped across the region during the storm. Some parts of the state got creamed, while most managed to skate by, according to the data from the National Weather Service.
