Town-By-Town Snow Totals Released For CT: How Much Did You Get From This Major Storm?
Below are the latest unofficial snowfall totals as provided by the National Weather Service for the Jan. 25 storm storm.
Connecticut's meteorologists have been saying for days that the state would receive 12 to 18 inches of snow and that is precisely what happened.
Town-by-town snow totals reveal that almost everyone received a foot of snow and as of now Torrington received the most snow with 20.2 inches.
There is already chatter on social media of another big snowstorm next weekend. That is way too early to conclude anything but after looking at one upcoming model, WTNH News 8 chief meteorologist Gil Simmons wrote on X, "If the Euro model becomes reality, many people will move south! WOW! First storm of concern is this coming weekend!"

NBC Connecticut chief Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan wrote on Facebook, "We’re watching a potential nor’easter for this weekend. The storm looks intense, but its exact track is still uncertain." He wrote that it's too early to know what impacts Connecticut may see from this storm "and there’s no reason to worry right now."
For the record, the National Weather Service currently shows sunshine next weekend with temperatures below freezing. We'll see what develops over the week. Stay tuned.

The week of cold temperatures
Daytime highs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will all be in the teens and 20s with low temperatures in the single digits to near zero in places.
Truck ban lifted
Gov. Ned Lamont also announced that the emergency order he enacted prohibiting commercial vehicles from traveling on all limited access highways in Connecticut due to the major winter storm that is impacting the state has been terminated effective at 6:30 a.m. on Monday.
Even though the order has been lifted, the governor is urging all motorists to do their best to avoid driving Monday if possible and use absolute caution if they must drive as plow crews continue their work to clear the roads of snow and ice.
“While the height of the storm has passed, lingering light snowfall is expected to remain throughout the day on Monday, and I am strongly advising everyone to stay off the roads if at all possible and let the plow crews do their jobs,” Lamont said.
Here are the town-by-town snow totals as reported by the National Weather Service. These may not be final numbers, and we'll update them when and if it changes. If your town isn't included, please email me, brian.mccready@patch.com, your town and snow total, and we'll add it to this list.
