CONNECTICUT — Sen Richard Blumenthal tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from a trip to Ukraine.
"Unfortunately, I’ve tested positive for COVID," Blumenthal tweeted today. "So this week, I’ll be working remotely. I’m not experiencing symptoms and am thankful to be fully vaccinated and boosted. If you haven’t gotten your shot or booster yet, make an appointment today!"
Blumenthal and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) traveled to Ukraine last week to meet President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and other Ukrainian officials. Both senators presented Zelenskky with a copy of a resolution they introduced in the Senate to designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.
