• Downed Wires Close Avon Roadway Near School (patch.com) — Drivers in Avon should steer clear of Old Wheeler Lane after downed wires forced officials to close the stretch between Camelot Lane and Roaring Brook School on Thursday. The Avon Volunteer Fire Department is asking motorists to avoid the area while crews address the issue, and no reopening time has been announced yet.
