AVON, CT — Avon residents looking to add something new to their homes or gardens can pick up free plants and other items during a two-day giveaway at the Avon Free Public Library.
The Garden Club of Avon is holding its "Free Plants for Your House & Garden" event on Friday, Oct. 2, from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
According to an event flyer, free items will include plants, decorative containers, dried hydrangea blossoms, seeds, and vases.
The giveaway will be held at the Avon Free Public Library.
The Garden Club describes the event as its "gift to you."
No admission fee or other cost is listed on the flyer.
