There will be no opportunity for the virtual audience to provide spoken comment during the meeting.
The meeting will not include a vote for the budget or result in an increase or decrease in the budget as currently proposed.
The budget will be voted on at the May 10 referendum at the Avon Senior Center.
A copy of the handout for the annual budget meeting, along with access instructions to join the livestream will eventually be posted on the Avon Town Council's web page under "Agendas."
The combined town/school budget proposal is $110.1 million, a budget 3.62 percent larger than current spending.
At that level, the budget plan will require a tax hike, with the mill rate tentatively slated to grow from 34.61 to 35.71 mills, for a 1.1-mill tax increase.
It means if your home is assessed at $250,000, your taxes this year will increase by $275.
Meanwhile, town official also announced that absentee ballots for the May 10 referendum are available.
To obtain an absentee ballot, an application needs to be completed and submitted by mail or in person to the Avon Town Clerk's Office in Building No. 2 at Avon Town Hall, 60 W. Main St.
