Avon Church Tackling Scourge Of Human Trafficking

The Avon Congregational Church is hosting a forum for the public to raise awareness of the human trafficking problem.

AVON, CT — A local church on Monday is hosting a forum to educate the public about a horrifying societal scourge — human trafficking.

The Avon Congregational Church will conduct an anti-trafficking workshop at its 6 W. Main St. location on Monday, Oct. 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.

This program is open to anyone interested, but registration is encouraged and can be done by calling the church office at 860-678-0488. Walk-ins are also welcome.

"Our goal is to raise awareness of this growing problem that affects every community in Connecticut," wrote the church in an announcement.
