Avon Free Public Library: Summer Position At Avon Library

AVON, CT — Local college students looking for a summer job might want to apply for a unique summer position at the Avon Free Public Library.

The position is available from late May/early June through mid-August and is 37.5 hours per week during normal library hours. $15 per hour, no benefits.

Applicants must be:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate program, and have at least one year of undergraduate study completed
• Enjoy working with the public, especially children of all ages, and have great customer service skills
• Possess strong communication and listening skills, and be interested in engaging with library patrons and staff
• Be responsible, dependable, and well organized
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Possess a valid driver’s license
