AVON, CT — The Avon Historical Society this week reminded folks they can still buy an engraved brick with their names on it and help with the ongoing Avon History Museum project.

Currently, the historical society is transforming a 200-year-old schoolhouse into a museum, with a grand opening planned for next year at the 8 E. Main St. (Route 44) site.

The bricks, which are $100 for an individual and $250 for businesses, will raise money for the project, including for exhibits after the museum opens next year.

Brick donations will form a walking path and sitting area outside the museum's building at the site.
