Avon To Host Outdoor Family Movie Night
Folks are invited to the showing of a 'Minions' movie on Friday, Aug. 11, at a local park.
AVON, CT — Rain or shine, local families will still be able to partake in this Friday's free "Family Movie Night" event at a local park.
On Friday Aug. 11, the Town of Avon is hosting the event at 7 p.m. at the Sycamore Hills Recreation Area, 635 West Avon Road.
There, families will be able to view the kids-friendly film "Minions: The Rise of Gru."

Admission is free and folks are invited to bring chairs, blankets, snacks and ... bug spray.
Should Mother Nature not cooperate, the showing will be moved to the nearby Avon Senior Center for an indoor showing.

The movie projector, screen and giveaways are provided by Jennifer M. Johnson of Allstate, according to the town.
