Avon Library Presents its "Sundays at Three" Finale March 25
Avon Library to Showcase Bill Holloman & CT Favorite, The Cartells
The Cartells have been delighting audiences for more than three decades with a musical mix that ranges from rhythm and blues, Motown and swing, to 60s pop to funk and mainstream rock. They’ve appeared from coast to coast and now they’re slated to perform March 25 in the season’s finale of the popular Sundays at Three music series presented by the Friends of the Avon Library.
The legendary band includes Avon resident, and multi-instrumentalist, Bill Holloman. He will be joined by Joe Grieco on keyboards and bass, guitarist Tom “BB” Majesky, and drummer Karin Barth. In addition to being gifted instrumentalists, the group is noted for its trademark four-part vocal harmony. What a great way to celebrate the coming of spring!
Bill Holloman is one incredible musician. Period. Not only does he play every brass and wind instrument ever invented, playing them better than most people, he is more than proficient on bass and keyboards. He also sings, composes, produces, and arranges music for film and television. Just some of those he has recorded and/or performed with are Bruce Springsteen, Blood, Sweat and Tears, the B52s, Elton John, Paul Simon, Diana Ross, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, and Patti Labelle.
