Avon Obituary: Carol Salyards, 61

Carol Sue (Burley) Salyards, 61, beloved wife of Larry E. Salyards, died Monday, January 5, 2016 at her home in Plainville.

Born November 20, 1954 in Baltimore, MD, to Albert and Emma Roberta (Clites) Burley, she graduated from Allegheny Community College in 1970 with an AA degree. She was employed by Bach Investments, Plus, LLC, in Berlin for the past 20 years. Carol was a long-time member of the Auxiliary of the Gideon’s International, and also attended Valley Community Baptist Church in Avon. She spent her time sewing blankets for her grandchildren and caring for her mother.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother Emma Burley of Plainville; two daughters: Rachel Morse of East Machias, ME and Katrina Salyards of Plainville; two grand children, Serenity Morse and Bernard (Emmett) Morse IV of East Machias. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Luke Burley.

Funeral services and burial will be held in East Machias, Maine in the spring. The Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center of Avon is caring for the arrangements.
