Debra Ann Sedgwick, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Robert Sedgwick for 38 years.
Born August 4, 1957 in Meriden; the daughter of Robert Gade and his wife Ellen. Debra was the Asst. Town Clerk for the Town of Harwinton and she also worked at Village Mortgage in Avon. She enjoyed writing and was a member of the Easy Writer’s Group. She also loved cooking, quilting, traveling, nature and the outdoors.
In addition to her husband, Bob, she leaves two sons, Christopher Robert Sedgwick of Torrington and Timothy Allyn Sedgwick and his partner Edward Cochran of Bristol; her daughter, Sarah Jane Richard and husband Kyle Thomas Richard of Thomaston; many loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Wendy Gade.

Friends may call on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 5 Steele Road, New Hartford from 5 – 8 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church, 93 River Rd., Barkhamsted at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
