
Evelyn Love Price, 92, of Avon, died peacefully Friday, September 4th, 2015 at Avon Health Center.
She was born July 14, 1923 in Folsom, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Ridley Township High School where she played field hockey and basketball and love all sports. After attending business school she married her childhood sweetheart, Kenneth, on December 2nd, 1942, while he was home on leave. She enjoyed being a naval pilot’s wife and moving around to all the Naval bases. After retiring from the military they moved back to Pennsylvania. Her pastimes were bowling, swim team coach, and organizations to help the orphanage in our town. When her husband was transferred to Connecticut they moved to Avon where she went to work for Allstate Insurance in Farmington. Her loves here in Connecticut were the Avon football team, while her grandson played there, and the UConn girl’s basketball team.
She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Kenneth Price, son Alan Price, daughter-in-law Tammy Price, daughter Linda Schultz and her significant other Daniel McHale, grandsons Richard Price and Christopher Price, granddaughter Melissa Boege and her husband Kurt Boege, grandson Ryan Schultz and his wife Loretta Schultz and great-granddaughter, Stephanie Price and her niece Christine Weyer and her husband Christopher. She dearly loved her family.
