Avon Obituary: Gail Balling, 73

Gail J. (Perry) Balling, 73, of Avon, died September 12, 2015.

She was born in Laurens, New York to the late Kathryn (Davis) and David Perry. Gail also lived in Milford, Bridgeport, and Torrington. For many years she worked for Remington Shaver, the razor company. Gail’s interests included painting, playing bingo, and music. She especially loved listening to and playing the organ.

Gail leaves her beloved children, son Guy Treszi of New Milford, daughters Kathryn Malewicki and her husband Christopher of Milford, and Lisa Hamilton and her husband Raymond of Avon; brothers Lavern Perry of Morris, NY and Tyrone Perry of Winslow, ME; grandchildren Kimberly, Melody, William, Matthew, Guy, David, Laura, and Rachel; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; husband William Balling, and several stepchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by son William Treszi, brother David Perry, and her sister Violet Cochrane.

Gail’s family will receive friends on Thursday, September 17th from 10:30-11:30 followed by a funeral service at 11:30 at the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Road, Avon. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
