
Georgina “Rose” (Dziedzic) Moran, 93, of Bristol, widow of William F. Moran, passed away Friday August 12.
Georgina was born in Unionville, July 21, 1923 and was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Olesky) Dziedzic. Prior to retiring, Rose was associated with the following companies: Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, Marlin Rockwell Company, Aetna Life Insurance Company, and her husband’s business Shamrock Manufacturing in Forestville. She was a United States Army Veteran of WWII, serving with the W.A.A.C. with the rank of Corporal. Rose received an associate’s degree from Tunxis Community College in graphic design. She was a communicant at the Church of Saint Ann, Avon.
She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands, Gale M. Horton and her husband Paul H. of Tolland; Elizabeth F. Young and her husband Scott L. of Burlington; her two granddaughters, who were the light of her life, Jenna Campbell and her husband Justin and Catherine Young; and her three beloved great granddaughters, Madison, Olivia, and Violet. Rose was predeceased by her seven siblings, Anna Bergin, John, Edward, Margaret Dziedzic, Mary Kaczmarczyk, Estelle Jessome, and Bernice Daley.

Friends may call to the Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main Street Route 4 Unionville, on Wednesday (August 17) from 11am until 12:30pm. Funeral procession from the Ahern Funeral Home will be Wednesday (August 17) at 12:30pm, followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Church of St. Ann Avon at 1pm. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Church of St. Ann, 289 Arch Road, Avon.
