Avon Obituary: Irene (Boehning) Russell, 84

Irene A. (Boehning) Russell, 84, of Avon, wife of the late Robert Russell, died Sunday, September 13, 2015 at John Dempsey Hospital in Farmington.

She was born July 6, 1931 in New Minden, IL, daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Schuette) Boehning and had lived in Belleville, IL for many years prior to moving to Avon. Mrs. Russell was a Sales Associate with Dillard’s for many years prior to her retirement. Irene was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed trivia and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Cecilia Russell of Avon; her son, Robert Russell and his wife Ingrid of Granby; her brothers, Edward Boehning and Richard Boehning and his wife Agnes; her grandson, Michael Russell and his wife Carolyn and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen, who died in childhood. Irene will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
