
Richard G. Kinsley, 72, of Collinsville, beloved husband of Joan (McAllister) Kinsley, passed away peacefully, Thursday, May 26th, 2016 at his home.
Born January 26th, 1944 in Hartford, he was the son of the late William J. Kinsley and Natalie (Gardner) Kinsley Snow. Richard grew up in West Hartford and graduated from Conard High School, Class of 1962. He was a resident of Collinsville for the past 44 years. Prior to retiring, he was a Senior Auto Damage Appraiser for Traveler’s Insurance Co., and had been an Avon Police Officer. He was an associate member of the Submarine Veterans of World War II.
Besides his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Richard is survived by his children, Michael Kinsley and his wife Mirka of Barkhamsted, James Kinsley and his wife Stephanie of Granby and Karen Slaboc and her husband Michael of Little Falls, NY, his grandchildren, Adam, Eric, Kevin and Ryan Kinsley and Kaytlyn and Lindsey Slaboc, his sister, Barbara Kinsley Szydlo, his sisters-in-law, Patricia Kinsley and Donna Flaherty and her husband Jonathan, his brothers-in-law, Stanley Brudz and Wayne McAllister and his wife Abbie and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Gordon Kinsley and sister-in-law, Carol McAllister Brudz.

Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Saturday (June 4) from 3:00-5:00pm.
