Avon Obituary: Ruth Curtis, 92

Ruth Naomi Curtis passed away peacefully Friday, December 25, 2015. She was the daughter of George N. and Ellen Irene (Knibbs) Curtis.

Ruth graduated from Farmington High School, Class of 1941. She worked at United Technologies until her retirement after 38 years. Ruth loved animals, flowers and beauty.

Ruth was predeceased by a sister Barbara, a brother Wesley Knibbs Curtis, a brother Gordon N. Curtis and his wife Lucy, and her beloved kitty Heather. She leaves a nephew Douglas Curtis and his wife Carol of Terryville, and a niece Elizabeth Curtis of Unionville.

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday (Dec. 31) at 11:00am in Greenwood Cemetery, Avon with Pastor Joseph Piccirillo officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial United Methodist Church, 867 West Avon Road, Avon, CT 06001.
