Avon PD's Handbag Bingo Event To Raise Money For Special Olympics

AVON, CT — One of the Southington Police Department's most popular fundraising events is next month and tickets for it are already going fast.

The APD announced late last week that tickets for its 2023 Designer Bag Bingo event to raise money for Special Olympics in Connecticut are now available.

Set to take place Friday, April 28, 2023 at the Golf Club of Avon, 160 Country Club Road, Avon, this event mixes a tasty dinner, community comaraderie and the chance to win some pretty pricy designer handbags.

The pasta buffet dinner is from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with the Bingo games beginning at 7 p.m.

Tickets are already on sale and, according to police, they go fast.

For $45, guests will receive a pasta dinner and 15 Bingo games, as well as a Bingo dabber. Tickets must be purchased in advance, space is limited and there are no tickets available at the door. There are also extra fees for extra Bingo games.

The event will also have other raffle prizes and a cash bar.
