Avon Releases Primary Voting Information

The town has also released voter registration info.

AVON, CT - The town has released information regarding the Aug. 14 primary, which will be held at regular November polling locations from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mail-in and online voter registration is due by Aug. 9 for both new voters and those changing party from Unaffiliated.

The in-person registration deadline is Aug. 13. An open enrollment session is scheduled July 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the ROV's office.

The last day that an enrolled elector could have transferred from one party to another, i.e. Democrat to Republican or vice versa, and be eligible to vote in the primary of the new party was May 14.

Mail-in and in-person registration is at ROV Office, Town Hall, 60 West Main Street, Avon, CT 06001.

Absentee Ballots are now available through the Town Clerk's Office: Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m. to noon.
