Avon Scouts' Tree/Wreath Sale Starts Friday, Nov. 25

AVON, CT — A local Boy Scout troop is selling Christmas trees/wreaths starting Friday to raise funds so local scouts can attend special scouting summer camps.

Avon Boy Scout Troop 274 is selling trees and wreaths of all sizes at the J. Fosters Ice Cream Shop at 4 Bailey Road/Route 44.

The sale starts on Black Friday at 3 p.m.

Then, the sale will take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the holiday season while supplies last.

The hours are Fridays from 3 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays/Sundays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

But even if you cannot make those hours, the scouts can still help you.

Those requiring a tree/wreath during off hours can arrange an appointment by emailing scoutmaster@avontroop.org.

And, according to the scouts, folks are urged to get theirs early.

"We have a large selection of trees, but as in years past, trees are sure to go fast," wrote Troop 274.
