Avon Truck-Or-Treat: What You Need To Know

AVON, CT — If you want to registerfto give out candy at the Avon Truck or Treat" event at the Avon Senior Center, you have until Wednesday, Oct. 25, to sign up.

But if you're a child looking to don a costume and trick-or-treat at some extravagantly decorated vehicles, you'll have to wait until Sunday, Oct. 29.

The senior center, located at 635 W. Avon Road, will host the Halloween tradition from 1 to 3 p.m.

Registration to give out candy and participate that way ends Wednesday, Oct. 25.

There is no fee to register as a trunk host and they are responsible for decorating the trunk of their car and bringing candy to pass out to trick-or-treaters.

"Creativity and fun are encouraged," wrote event organizers in a statement. "We will have a best-decorated trunk contest for all participating."

In addition to costumes, decorations and candy, hayrides will be available as well.
