Avon Summer Theater Presents Musical Comedy "The Wedding Singer"

This summer’s production of The Wedding Singer marks the 55th continuous summer musical presented by Avon Summer Theater. Students from all over the Farmington Valley come together to present this fun comedy based on the hit movie and featuring 80’s-style music.

“The Wedding Singer is a comedic rock musical with original songs that capture the feeling and essence of what it was like to be in the ‘80’s,” summarizes Diana Lawler, the Music Director. “It does for the 80’s what Hairspray did for the 60’s.”

Performance dates are July 22, 23 at 7:30 pm, and July 24 at 2 pm at Avon High School Auditorium, 510 West Avon Road. Doors open 30 minutes before curtain. The show runs approximately 2 hours, with a 15-minute intermission. Tickets are $15 adult and $10 for student/senior, available at the Avon HS office beginning July 11 from 8:30-3:00, or at the door on the nights of performances. Payable by cash or check.
