Large Book Sale In Avon: What You Need To Know
The Friends of the Avon Free Public Library Oct. 13-15 will host its annual book sale to benefit the library.

AVON, CT — One of the biggest fundraising events for the Avon Free Public Library starts Friday, Oct. 13, and lasts all weekend.
The library, located at 60 W. Main St., Avon, is hosting the Friends of the Avon Free Public Library's annual book sale to benefit the organization that benefits the town's library.
On Friday, Oct. 13, the sale begins at 4 p.m. and continues to 8 p.m. This day has a $5 admission fee as folks going Friday get first crack at all the books.

It continues on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 15, from noon to 3 p.m.
There is no admission fee for Saturday and Sunday, with Sunday featuring a $5 bag sale where one bag can, simply, be filled up with as many books as possible.

A separate book sale for kids and teen books is slated for Saturday, Oct. 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This weekend's event will not feature books for children and teens.
Event organizers ask that people leave their strollers outside the Community Room and credit card purchases will be accepted.
In addition, the event is still looking for volunteers to help with the sale, with a volunteer sign-up sheet posted on social media.
