Changing the world, one girl at a time: Girls Who Code Hackathon

Girls Who Code hackathon to decrease gender gap in STEM fields

Computer science is currently ranked as the top growing field of this decade. According to numerous sources on the web, computer science is the IT (no pun intended to you fellow techies) job on the market. This is because as nearly everything these days runs on something a computer scientist was involved with making; your phone, your fridge, your intelligent friend Alexa...

As a result, the field has an exponentially growing market for computer scientists... However, less than 1 in 5 computer science graduates are girls, which is why this event is so important.

Girls Who Code is an organization dedicated to reducing the gender gap in Computer Science, one girl at a time. Read more about their mission here. https://girlswhocode.com/about-us/
