CT Transit Bus Accident Leads to DUI Arrest
The following information was provided by the Avon Police Department and does not indicate a conviction.
A Litchfield man driving a Jeep Cherokee that Monday evening was charged with operating the vehicle while under the influence.
Donald A. Lanthier, 56, of 420 Torrington Rd., was also cited with following too close.
The accident took place on Route 44, just beyond the entrance to Walmart Plaza.

Towstar towed his car after the front end was lightly damaged upon impact with the back of the bus.
At least nine passengers were on the bus, which was enroute from Canton to Downtown Hartford. Another bus picked them up to take them to their final destination.

Avon police released Lanthier after he posted a $1,000 non-surety bond.
