Discussion, Possible Vote on Avon Town Center Plan Tonight

A discussion and possible vote on a proposed development deal for the town center will be the subject of an Avon Planning & Zoning Commission special meeting Tuesday night.

The meeting will commence at 5:30 p.m. at the Company #1 fire station, 25 Darling Drive.

A review of the 2016 Plan of Conservation and Development will run until 6:45, then the commission will continue its discussion of the town center proposal.

The proposal by the Carpionato Group for a new town center, including stores, office space, apartments and a new town green, has met with mixed reaction from residents at previous hearings.

The agenda states a possible vote on the proposal may be taken.
