Dog in Traffic

At approximately 2:35 pm, today, as I was driving up the hill on Route 185 and approaching Cobtail Way, I saw a small brown short-haired dog rolling across the road. It had, apparently, been hit by a vehicle heading down the hill and was flung across the two uphill lanes. I saw the glint of a vivid blue metal tag on its collar as we passed. When I looked in my rear view mirror, I didn’t see it in the road and no vehicles stopped. It probably ended up in the brush on the south side of the road. It looked a little bit like the dog in the photo I posted, but with even shorter hair.
