Lorelei Piano Trio at Christ Church

The Lorelei Piano Trio returns to Avon on Sunday, April 17, for the next concert in the Chamber Music at Christ Church series. Alexandr Dzyubinsky, violin, Benjamin Larsen, cello, Yoon Lee, piano, will perform piano trios by Brahms, Mozart and Robert Sirota. The concert begins at 3 p.m. and admission is free, although donations to help defray costs are accepted.

The Lorelei Piano Trio is based in New York City, where Lee and Larsen are graduates of the Manhattan School of Music, and Dzyubinsky of the Juilliard School. They are currently under the tutelage of Sylvia Rosenberg, and have attracted the attention of several top chamber musicians.

Hailed by audiences as ‘electric’ and ‘dynamic,’ the Trio was recently invited to perform in an upcoming master class through the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
Christ Church, located at 35 Harris Road, Avon, was founded in the Unionville section of Farmington in 1845, and moved to its present location in 1963. Services on Sundays are at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and Sunday school for children ages 4 through Grade 4 is held at 10:00 a.m. as well.
