Free Tai Chi classes at the Avon Public Library!

Join us for this fun & free way to keep fit and relieve stress. No experience necessary, all ages welcome!

The Avon Public Library is offering free Tai Chi classes on Wednesday, June 8, June 15 and June 22. This one hour class begins at 10:30 a.m., led by Tai Chi master Qun Cheng. Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese art for physical and mental health. Join us for this fun & free way to keep fit and relieve stress. No experience necessary, all ages welcome! Wear comfortable clothes. Rain or shine!

Qun Cheng was born in into a Tai Chi family in Beijing, China. His mother, Lijun Cheng is the sixth generation lineage holder of Yang style Tai Chi. Qun started learning traditional Yang style Tai Chi from his mother when he was young. In 1999, Qun co-founded The Center for Harmony in Massachusetts, a place of teaching traditional Yang style Tai Chi as well as Qi Gong. Qun has been a resident of Avon, Connecticut since 1994.

Free and open to the public, no registration required. The class will be held on the side lawn of the library near Sunnybrook Dr. If raining, the program will be held in the library. The Avon Public Library, 281 Country Club Road, Avon CT, 860-673-9712.

Wednesday, June 1 – 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Wednesday, June 8 – 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Wednesday, June 22 – 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
