'Meet the Skippers' of the Shoreline Sailing Club
Singles 45 and over who are interested in boating and are first-time visitors can attend this event for free.

The Shoreline Sailing Club, the oldest active singles club on the shoreline, will be hosting its first-ever “Meet The Skippers” event in conjunction with its regularly scheduled meeting Thursday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Westbrook Elks Club, 142 Seaside Ave., Westbrook.
Interested singles 45 and over who are first-time visitors can attend for free and help commission the club’s skippers, participate in the “blessing of the fleet” and take part in an interactive scavenger hunt to learn facts about the club’s skippers.
“Our skippers are eager to meet new members, reacquaint with veteran members and chat about the seaworthy adventures that await us,” said club member Janina Cummings of Simsbury, owner of Shear Artistry Day Spa & Salon in Avon. “Our members come from all over the state because they love the water and boating. Please join us.”
