Northwest Catholic’s Allison Strid to Play Division I Soccer at Sacred Heart University

Allison Strid, a senior at Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford, was a key player on the school's 2015 state championship team.

Allison Strid of Avon signed her National Letter of Intent February 2, 2017 in front of family, friends, coaches, and school administrators at Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford. Strid will play Division I soccer at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield this fall.

A 2016 team captain and three-year varsity player, Strid scored 3 goals and made 3 assists this year. She started 45 games in her career and finished with 4 goals and 5 assists. Strid was also a key player in the school’s 2015 state championship team. She was named All-Courant and All-Conference her senior year.

Athletic Director Matthew Martorelli ’03 paid tribute to Strid during the signing ceremony and concluded his remarks saying, “Allison, we wish you the best of luck over the next four years as a Pioneer at Sacred Heart University!”
