Paid Research Study for Teens w/ Depression at Hartford Hospital
Research team at Hartford Hospital is seeking teenagers with current or past depression to participate in a paid research study!

The Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center of Hartford Hospital/Institute of Living seeks Right-Handed teenagers to participate in a MRI-Based study. The research will study how the brains of teens at different ages control their emotions. Both boys and girls ages 12-18 are needed. We are especially interested in teenagers who are currently diagnosed with depression or had depression in the past who are not currently on medications for their depression.
Qualified volunteers will participate in an interview, then complete some questionnaires, some cognitive tests, and undergo a safe and non-invasive brain imaging scan. Volunteers can take home a souvenir picture of their own brain, and they will be compensated 20 dollars an hour for their time. Participation in the study will take 6-8 hours total and can be split into separate visits, if desired. After school and weekend appointments are available, if necessary.
