Benefit Event In Avon To Help Cancer-stricken Children
The fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at an Avon taproom.
AVON, CT — A local real estate office and a popular Avon eatery are joining forces Wednesday, Oct. 5, to help children battling cancer.
The Berkshire Hathaway Home Services office in Avon and the Tri-It Taproom are hosting a fundraiser that day to benefit "The Sunshine Kids," a nationally-based nonprofit that works to help children battling cancer enjoy their lives.
It will take place at Tri-It from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the restaurant, which is located at 300 W. Main St., Avon.

The event is for adults and guests should bring a valid ID along with a credit card for purchases.
Tri-It boasts 44 self-serve taps featuring a variety of wines, ciders and beers.

It will feature live local music, games, fun, complimentary food and mingling — all for a good cause.
In addition, organizers will be raffling off a bunch of items, such as gift baskets with chocolate, wine and gift certificates as well as a kids bike, golf for four and a growing list of other things.
Tickets are $25 at the door or they can be purchased in advance at this link.
