Richard Lublin, former CT resident, has been elected as a member of the Laureate Society for making important strides in cancer care and cancer research. Members from the society review and evaluate grant requests for medical research annually to help determine the best investments.

It’s an important role, because research is what it takes to overcome cancer. Since 1946, The American Cancer Society has invested more than $4.8 billion in cancer research to find more effective treatments, to uncover causes for cancer and to improve the quality of life for cancer patients.

The Laureate Society began in 2004, with a dedicated group of people who pooled their efforts to raise additional funds for the American Cancer Society Research Program. Today, the Society has grown into a nationwide organization of members working to impact the ACS’s mission through their generous investment of time and resources.
